Services for Sylvia “Dianne” Currier Teasdale Campbell, 78, who passed away Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, March 31, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Dianne was born June 4, 1938 in Boone, Iowa to Selden L. and Mary (Pratt) Currier. Dianne graduated from Boone High School and shortly after that she meet her first husband Raymond Teasdale of Madrid, IA. They were joined in marriage on November 28, 1957 and to this union five children were born, Larry, Maryanna, Dianna, Rita and Raymond. Being an Air Force wife, Dianne had the opportunity to live in West Germany, New Jersey, California, Hawaii and Florida. When her husband retired from the service they settled in Boone, IA to finish raising their family. Dianne moved to Indianola, IA in 1986 where she worked at Westview Care Center as a CNA until she retired. She meet her second husband Daryl Campbell and they married on December 4, 1987. Dianne and Daryl bought an acreage south of town where she loved sitting on her deck watching the wild life, and listening to the birds. Dianne loved being with her kids and grandkids and great grandkids. After the death of her husband she moved to Altoona to live with her eldest son Larry and his wife Elaine. Dianne enjoyed going to the Y to swim, reading and taking Gizmo for walks. She Also enjoyed going to concerts especially Barry Manilow and traveling.
Dianne will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors include her children, Larry (Elaine) Teasdale, Maryanna (Leslie) Holland, Dianna (Michael) Weatherly, Rita (Brent) Brueland and Raymond (Tammy) Teasdale; brother, Selden “Jim” (Linda) Currier; sister, Florence (Quentin) Klinkefus; sister-in-law, Sue Currier; grandchildren, Julie, Eric, Tina, Kyle, Leandra, Raymond "Guy", Karmenn, Mackenzee, April, Wesley, Lane, Tia, Angela, Michael and Nicole, nine great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her spouse, Daryl Campbell; parents, Selden and Mary Currier; brother, Thomas Currier; daughter-in-law, VanBora Teasdale and grandchildren, Marshall and Anna Teasdale.
