Eliza Jane McDole, daughter of William and Caroline McDole, was born near Fishersberg, in Hamilton County, Indiana, May 5, 1849, and died at her home in Indianola, Iowa, July 22, 1920, at the age of 71 years, 2 months and 17 days. She came to Iowa in the year 1850 and was married to Joseph Duncan in 1889. She made her home in Illinois until four years ago when at her husband’s death she returned to Iowa. She was converted under Dr. Hamilton at the age of twenty years and joined the Methodist church, later moving her membership to the Free Methodist, then to the Nazerene church in Lacona, Iowa. She leaves to mourn her death her mother, two brothers, A. J. McDole and A. L. McDole, and one sister, Mrs. W. G. Brown. The funeral was conducted by Rev. A. J. Hanson at the Friends church, Friday afternoon, July 23rd, at 2:30.
