Margaret Jane Tindell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Tindell, was born in Wapello county, near Ottumwa, November 20th, 1852. Here she grew to young womanhood and was united in marriage with B. F. Wright, March 8th, 1870. To this union were born eight children: Eva, Ora, Nora, Claude, Carl, Phila, Bert and Lillian. In 1874 they moved to a farm in Clarke county, Iowa where they lived until 1903 when they moved to Minnesota near Ogilvie. Here they cleared a new farm and lived eight years, moving in 1911 to Polson, Montana, where they were living at the time of her husband’s death. A short time after this she returned to Ogilvie, and in 1918 came to Des Moines, where she has lived the past two years. Her illness was of long duration and her last month was spent at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. M. McGee, of Indianola, Iowa, where she died, October 7th, 1920. In addition to her own children she raised, from infancy, three of her grandchildren, Frank, Forest and Lela Thompson. At an early age she united with the Methodist church and remained a loyal Christian and member until her death. She leaves to mourn her death, six children, twenty-four grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. Interment in the Indianola cemetery.
