Obituary – J. P. Wagner
J. P. Wagner died at his home in Churchville, Iowa, Wednesday morning, October 29, at 2:30 from paralysis of the heart, after an illness of four weeks. Mr. Wagner was born in Alsace Lorraine, France, August 2, 1835. In 1873 he came to America and after spending a few years in New York, he came to Iowa where he has since lived making his home four miles south of St Marys till 1897, when he removed to Churchville. Mr. Wagner is survived by his wife, two sons and four daughters. The funeral services were held at the church of the Assumption Churchville Friday morning at ten o’clock, Rev. Father Condon officiating. Burial at Calvary cemetery Churchville. The Pallbearers were M. Gillespie of Patterson, Mr. Samuel Martin of Indianola, Henry Churchman of Churchville, Will Wiedman of Patterson, John Wiedman of Bevington and Will Martens of Churchville.
