Died – on Tuesday, Nov 13, 1888, at the home of his son, Walter, in Indianola, Albert M. Richey, born Feb 4th, 1810, in Fayette County, Penn. Father Richey’s death was very sudden and unexpected. Feeling on Tuesday unusually well and strong he concluded to saw a few sticks of stove wood and was doing so when his heart ceased to pulsate. Mrs. Richey saw him when he fell and ran to his assistance but life was gone. Few men in this community had more friends, in fact, every person admired his quiet inoffensive ways. In conversation he was intelligent and interesting and he will be missed by all. Mr. Richey has made his home in Indianola for about 11 years. The funeral services were held this morning, after which Mr. Walter Richey started to Pennsylvania in charge of the body, where it will be buried in the old cemetery.
