Walter Scott Butler, of Squaw township, Warren county, was born Sept 15, 1877, and died Aug 25, 1892. He was born upon the house farm where he died. He was only sick a few days, Typhoid fever being the dread disease which caused his death. The funeral sermon was preached under the shade of the trees in the door yard. A large number of neighbors were present at the service and also accompanied the bereaved family to the grave. Funeral services were conducted by Rev Fassett of New Virginia. B. A. Fassett
