OBITUARY
Benjamin M. Pennington died Nov 6, 1878, at his residence, six miles east of this place. His disease was that of consumption. He was buried at Ackworth. The funeral was attended by a large concouse of people, many old settlers being present. Pall-bearers, Lewis Todhunter, E. W. Hartman, Wm. Crutchland, James Crutchland, Nathan Cox, Joseph Sandy, W. I. Clark and David Lair. The funeral services were conducted by Revs. Wasson and Coffin. The deceased was born in Clinton county, Ohio, March 26, 1822; was married Nov 21, 1844, and moved to this county the fall of 1850.
