Clyde Duane Mott
(June 17, 1925 - June 11, 2008)

Clyde Duane Mott passed away June 11, 2008 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital at the age of 82. Funeral services will be held at the Runnells Christian Church on Monday, June 16, at 2 p.m. Visitation will be held at the church Sunday, June 15, from 4 to 6 p.m.
Duane was born June 17, 1925 to Walter and Clara Mott in Hartford, Iowa. He graduated from Runnells High School, a member of the Runnells Christian Church, Masonic Lodge, Runnells Community Center and served on the boards of the Runnells Christian Church and Runnells School Board. He owned and operated the DX Service Station in Runnells. Duane retired from the Polk County Assessors office in 1991. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Eunice, son David and brother Bill.
He is survived by daughter Virginia (Mike) Crider of Andersonville, Tennessee, Bryan Mott of Des Moines, Iowa, brothers Carl Mott, Arthur (Barbara) Mott, sister Roberta (RM) Traviss, special friend and companion Lois Campbell of Cypress, California, nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, brother, and sisters-in-law Adeline Rhoten, Marilyn Mott, Clover Rhoten, John (Margaret) Rhoten, many nieces, nephews, beloved friends, and special friend and buddy Jim Frist.
In lieu of flowers, memorials maybe directed to the Runnells Christian Church building fund and the American Cancer Society.
