Agnes Karen Marie Sires Potts
(March 13, 1915 - May 31, 2008)

Agnes Karen Marie Sires Potts, 93,passed away
peacefully at the Indianola Good Samaritan Nursing home on May 31, 2008. Graveside Memorial Services will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 18, 2008 at the Elk Horn Lutheran Church in Elk Horn, Iowa.
Agnes was born in Exira, Iowa on March 13, 1915, graduated from Elk Horn High School, and continued her education at Iowa State to get her Teachers Degree. She later received her B.A. from Drake University.
Agnes married Harlin Sires May 30, 1941 and had two children, Terry and Sheila Sires. She taught first grade in the Norwalk School District for 25 years and lived in West Des Moines for 23 years.
On June 4, 1977, Agnes married Ezra Potts and moved to Saskatoon Saskatchewan, Canada. They were married 30 years.
Agnes is survived by her husband, Ezra Potts; sister, Irene Boose; children, Terry and Donna Sires, Sheila and Tom Reed, Dale and Marilyn Potts, Carl and Joan Baumgardner, Carol and Tyronne Fisher and Lela Potts; grandchildren, Chris Sires, Nathan and Tiffany Sires, Ryan Fisher, Carrie Ivans, Carmen and Michael Fox and Carla Potts; three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Good Samaritan Nursing Home in Indianola and Hospice of Iowa for their kindness and loving care at this time of need.
