Services for Sydney Morgan Thomas, 20, who passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015, will be held 1:30 p.m., Thursday, December 31 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola with burial following in the Indianola I.O.O.F. Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Sydney loved the outdoors, mountains, and hiking. She embraced travel with her car she named Wanda and her puppy Ducky Duckling (AKA Fat Patricia). She was a free spirit that lived in the moment. She hula-hooped her way through many festivals; she loved music and was an amazing dancer with her own unique style. Sydney was a passionate person that fought hard and loved even harder. She was a beacon of light in the lives of all that knew her. The world seems a little less bright without her here, but she will live on in our hearts and memories. We will love and miss her forever.
Survivors include her parents, Wendy & Mark Phillips; siblings, Marcus Phillips, Jeffrey Thomas, Kayla Thomas and Randy Phillips; grandparents, Jacquita Thomas, Lloyd & Diane Phillips, as well as close relatives; Rebecca & Michael Christian (Libby), Allen Thomas, Jennifer and Karl Andrews (Cassie, Breanna, Ashley, Hayli, Christian, and Allie), Wally & Carol Cleaver (JW and Tesia), Mary Cleaver & Bruce Zimmerman, Marie Phillips, Mandie Phillips (Blake and Gabe) Along with numerous other relatives; and many fantastic friends. Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, December 30 at Overton Funeral Home where family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. to greet friends.
