Mary Virginia Middents

Services for Mary Virginia (Cullen) Middents, 94, who passed away Sunday, October 25, 2015 at The Village in Indianola, will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, October 28 at Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Indianola. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church. Graveside services will be held 3 p.m., Wednesday at the Presbyterian Cemetery, Kamrar, IA.
Mary was born on December 25, 1920 to Harold M. and Emma S. (Smith) Cullen in Dubuque, IA. She received her education in the Dubuque Public Schools.
Mary was married to Rev. John H. Middents Jr. on August 10, 1944. To this union one son was born, John H. Middents III. They lived in Lytton/Yetter, Alta, Toledo, Denison (all in Iowa) and Plattsmouth, NE, where she and her husband served Presbyterian churches.
She leaves to mourn her a son, John (Jane) Middents III of Ankeny; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Kevin) Wieskamp of Muscatine and Jeremy (Teresa) Middents of Atlantic; and great-grandchildren, Nicole and Allison Middents and Claire Wieskamp; and step great-grandchildren, John and Hannah Wieskamp. She was preceded in death by her husband Rev. John H. Middents Jr., her parents and one brother John R. Cullen. Memorials may be made to The Good Shepherd Fund at The Village in Indianola or The Middents Scholarship Fund at Dubuque Theological Seminary, Dubuque, IA.
