Funeral services for Craig Steven Thompson, who died Wednesday, October 22, 2003 at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines from renal failure and a heart attack, will be held 1:30 p.m. Saturday, October 25 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will be in I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Indianola.

Craig was born on February 4, 1952 in Fairfield, Iowa to Roland M. and Louise Lepley Thompson. He had lived in Indianola since 1958 and graduated from Indianola High School in 1970. He also attended electronics classes in Des Moines for two years. Craig loved the outdoors and spent his free time fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends. He loved to cook and was always trying out a new recipe. Craig also enjoyed watching racing and was an avid collector of Coca-Cola memorabilia.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roland M. Thompson. He was a devoted father and is survived by his son, Joshua Thompson of Des Moines; his mother, Louise of Indianola; and a host of relatives and friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at Kidney Care, P.C. at Iowa Methodist for their loving care. All of his doctors and nurses were so kind and considerate through the years.

Visitation with the family present will be held Saturday, October 25 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at Overton Funeral Home. Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church in Indianola.
