Karl L. Sinclair Sr., 80, of Indianola died of a heart ailment Monday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First Assembly of God, and burial will be in IOOF Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Sinclair was born in Decatur County and lived in Indianola most of his life. He was a retired self-employed carpenter, an Army veteran of World War II and a member of the Assembly of God, American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, Disabled American Veterans, AmVets and Odd Fellows Lodge.
Among survivors are two sons, Carl G. Jr. of Indianola and Frank of Des Moines; five brothers, Pete of Hoquiam, Wash., and Russel, Lyle, Junior and Jerry, all of Indianola; three sisters, Phyllis Matheson of Monett, Mo., Imogene Weeks of Indianola and Mary Styles of Davis City; six grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
Friends may call after 1 p.m. Friday at Peterson Funeral Home, where the family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to his church.
