Deb Konrad, 50, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2006 at the Fleur Heights Care Center in Des Moines after a long battle with a brain tumor.
Services will be Wednesday, October 25, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Lacona. Family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. with a service at 6:30 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Lacona. Memorials may be given to Iowa Hospice or to the American Legion.
She was preceded in death by her father Herb Konrad. Deb is survived by her mother Mick Konrad of Lacona; her children: Dr. Angela Konrad and husband Josh Lawrence of Ashland, Mo; and Nick Arrendell of Woodward, Iowa; siblings: Jim and Kathy Konrad of Bettendorf, Don and Judy Konrad of Columbus, NE, Sandy and Greg McCullough of Carlisle, and Bob Konrad of Lacona.

Deb Konrad was born on December 3, 1955 in Des Moines, Iowa to Herb and Mick (Chandler) Konrad. Deb passed away October 21, 2006 after a long brave battle with a brain tumor at the Fleur Heights Care Center in Des Moines with her family by her side.
Deb graduated from SEW High School in 1974. For the last 18 years she was the executive secretary for the American Legion in Des Moines. Deb was proud to work for such a wonderful organization.
Deb was a very dedicated mother to her children, Angie and Nick. She was especially dedicated to her son's special needs and made sure he had every opportunity. She also loving reading, rock hunting and crafting. She was a great cook and especially enjoyed desserts.
Deb is survived by her mother, Mick Konrad of Lacona; her children: Dr. Angela Konrad and husband, Josh Lawrence of Ashland, MO. and Nick Arrendell of Woodward, IA; siblings: Jim and Kathy Konrad of Bettendorf, Don and Judy Konrad of Columbus, NE., Sandy and Greg McCullough of Carlisle and Bob Konrad of Lacona. Deb is preceded in death by her father, Herb Konrad.
