Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune newspaper, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA on 12-24-1984:

A rural Pleasantville woman died of carbon monoxide poisoning shortly before 8 p.m. Dec. 14 when she left her car running in the garage of a neighbor. Her death was ruled a suicide by State Medical Examiner Dr. Thomas Bennett.

The woman, Brenda Sue Graham, 32, of RR 1 Pleasantville was dead when she was discovered in the vehicle by a Warren County sheriff's deputy.

Bennett said an autopsy was performed on the woman Dec. 15 and he found that she had died from inhaling car exhaust.

Services for Brenda Sue Graham, 32, of Pleasantville, who died Friday, will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Mason Funeral Home here. Burial will be in Pleasantville Cemetery.
Dr. Donald Flory, Warren County medical examiner, said the death, caused by carbon monoxide poisoning, was an apparent suicide. The body was found south of Beech in Warren County, he said.
Mrs. Graham was last employed as a waitress at Checkerboard Restaurant here.
Survivors include her husband, Charles; a son, Eric, and a daughter, Melinda Kay, both at home; her father and stepmother, Van and Dina Jenkins of Norwalk; a brother, Van F. Jr. of Odessa, Mo.; two sisters, Linda Louise Hiatt of Sedalia, Mo., and Mickey Dale Roberts of Grapevine, Texas; and a grandmother, Omie Montgomery of Lowell, N.C.
