Fabian Jacob Huerter, 87, of Indianola died of a heart ailment Wednesday, Nov. 14, 2001, at Indianola Good Samaritan Center. Services were held Nov. 17 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rosemount, of which he was a member, with burial at Rosemount Cemetery.

Mr. Huerter was born in Seneca, Kan., and lived there as a youth. He had lived in Indianola most of his life. He was a retired farmer and an active conservationist.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Berniece.

Survivors include a son, Duane of Indianola; a daughter, Janice Marshall of Diamond Head, Miss,; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Mosher Funeral Home in Milo handled arrangements.
