Paul Joseph Veasman, 77 of Indianola passed to the Lord on February 16th 2013 due to complications of cancer. Visitation will be held Friday, February 22nd from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, family will be present 6:00 to 8:00 pm. Withy a Rosary/Vigil Service at 7:30 pm. Services will be held at 10 am Saturday, February 23rd at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Burial with military rites will follow at the Indianola IOOF Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Paul was born March 3, 1935 to Paul and Catherine Veasman. He retired as a Master Sargent in the Iowa Air National Guard. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus and the American Legion Post 165. He was an avid gardener, enjoyed playing cribbage and spending time with his grandkids.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Jean; three sons: Pat (Brenda), Mark (Tammy), and Dan (Kim); a daughter: Cathy Mayer (John); ten grandchildren: John Michael, Cole and Katie Mayer; Ashley Thompson, Joshua and GretchenVeasman; ChelsieVeasman; Luc, Max and QuinnVeasman; one great-grandchild: Drake Thompson and sisters: Rita Kimm, Viola Hines, Clara Navratil, Maxine Edwards, Donna Rieck, Virginia Smith and Patricia Galbert; brothers: John, Larry and Mike Veasman. He is preceded in death by his father and mother and sisters: Dorothy Naberhaus, Carolyn Reeves, Lucille Johnson, Julia Zwierzchki, Mary Lehman and Darlene Reeves.
