Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune newspaper, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA on 12-7-2005:

Harold Kelley Hodson, 61, of Sandyville, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005 at home. Funeral services were Dec. 5 at Mason Funeral Home in Pleasantville. Burial was in the Sandyville Cemetery.

Mr. Hodson was born Jan. 12, 1944, in Knoxville and was the son of Harold Keith and Helen Elizabeth (Warren) Hodson.

He lived in the Sandyville area all of his life. He graduated from Pleasantville High School in 1962. He married Susan McVay on Nov. 23, 1962. They moved to his family farm and farmed, raising hogs and cattle. He also worked for John Deere in Ankeny, retiring in 1996.

He was a member of the United Auto Workers and the Pleasantville Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant brother.

Survivors include his wife, Susan; daughters, Kim Huffman and Amanda Bender, both of Sandyville and Linette Hodson of California; three grandchildren; a brother, Rick of North Carolina; and two sisters, Markoline Johnson and Margaret Jane Utley, both of Des Moines.

Memorial contributions may be given to the Pleasantville Fire Department.

Kelley Hodson, 61, passed away on Wednesday, November 30 at his home. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1 p.m. at Mason Funeral Home in Pleasantville with burial in the Sandyville Cemetery.
Kelley retired from John Deere in Ankeny and farmed near Sandyville. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Susan; daughters, Kim (Tim) Huffman of Sandyville, Linette Hodson of California and Amanda (Jeb) Bender of Sandyville; grandchildren, Haley Huffman and Chance and Chloe Bender; brother, Rick (Liz) Hodson of North Carolina and sisters, Markoline Johnson and Margaret Jane (Ron) Utley, both of Des Moines.
Visitation will begin after 11 a.m. on Sunday at Mason Funeral Home. A Masonic service will be held at 3:30 p.m. and family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Memorials may be made to the Pleasantville Fire & Rescue Units.
