Marvin Richard Hoch, 63, of Milo died of cancer Wednesday, June 7, 2000, at Kavanagh House in Des Moines. Services were held June 10 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial at IOOF Memorial Gardens Cemetery there.

Mr. Hoch was born in Marion County and had lived in Milo and Indianola before returning to Milo in 1996. He was a retired maintainer operator with Warren County Engineers Office and was an Army veteran. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Indianola and an avid trapper, hunter, fisherman and camper.

Survivors include his wife, Edna; three sons, Darrell Husted of Indianola and Darcy and Derek, both of Milo; a daughter, Jeanette Robinson of Osceola; five brothers, Walter, Klemmie, Kenneth and Dean, all of Lacona and Gene of Des Moines; five sisters, Lillian Thill of Lacona, Luella Nickelson and Marilyn Orey, both of Indianola, Evelyn Rodgers of Ople, Kan., and Carolyn Wallace of Knoxville; and 10 grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Kavanagh House in Des Moines.
