Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 10-24-1999:

Julia Angeline Snyder, 72, of Chariton died of cancer Friday at Mercy Medical Center. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Chariton, of which she was a member. Burial will be at Bauer Cemetery in Marion County.

Mrs. Snyder was born in Minnesota and had lived in Lacona before moving to Chariton several years ago. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include four sons, Ralph Scheve of Chariton, Raymond Scheve of Clive, Robert Scheve of Melcher-Dallas and Ronald Scheve of Indianola; two daughters, Judy Kurth of West Des Moines and Jeanette Van Liew of Des Moines; six brothers, Clem Hoch, Dean Hoch, Kenneth Hoch and Walter Hoch, all of Lacona, Gene Hoch of Des Moines and Marvin Hoch of Milo; five sisters, Lou Nickelson and Marilyn Orey, both of Indianola, Evelyn Rodgers of Olpe, Kan., Lillian Thill of Pleasantville and Carolyn Wallace of Knoxville; and 24 grandchildren.

Dean Rose of Indianola was her companion.

Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Fielding Funeral Home, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.
