Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune newspaper, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA, date unknown:

Julia Mary Konrad, 90, of Seneca, Kan., died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1993, at Country View Estates Nursing Home in Seneca, following a stroke. Services were held Feb. 6 at Sts. Peter and Paul Church, with burial in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Konrad was born in Milo and the family moved to Kelly, Kan., in 1906. She and her husband, Clarence, lived and farmed at Rosemont until 1947 when they retired and moved to Seneca. She was employed in the kitchen at the Seneca Hospital and at Crestview Manor. In 1979 she moved to Meriden, Kan., to live with her daughter until moving to the home in February 1992.

She was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Church in Seneca and St. Ann's Altar Society at the church. She was a former member of St. Aloysius Church in Meriden and the quilting groups of both churches.

Survivors include a daughter, Mary Ellen Becker of Meriden; two stepdaughters, Julia Kooker of Ayrshire and Esther Ripperger of Lacona; a stepson, Herman Konrad of Chariton; three sisters, Ottilia Rice of Horton, Kan., Alvina Rettele and Eleanor Ronnebaum, both of Seneca; three brothers, Joseph Heinen and Sylvester Heinen, both of Seneca, and Clarence Heinen of Axtell, Kan.; two grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; 17 step-great-grandchildren; and four step-great-great-grandchildren.

Lauer Funeral Home handled arrangements.

Memorials may be given to either church.
