Services were held at noon Saturday at Hamilton's Funeral Home, Des Moines, for Elnora Alta Blackford, 84, a resident of Runyan Nursing Home in Indianola, who died there Wednesday. Burial was in the North River Cemetery.

Born in the North River community, Mrs. Blackford moved to Des Moines 50 years ago and was a retired cook.

Survivors include two sons, Lester and Eugene, both of Des Moines; four daughters, Mrs Thelma Evenson, Mrs. Ellen Bentley and Mrs. Virginia Thomas, all of Des Moines, and Mrs. Beverly Stivers of Altoona; a brother, Kinsie Foust of rural Indianola; four sisters, Mrs. Esther Hester of Dodge Center, Minn., and Mrs. Imogene Dunagan, Mrs. Bonnie Dunagan and Mrs. Jennie DeCapua, all of Des Moines; 25 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
