Obituary from an unknown newspaper on 6-23-1983, photographed from an Obituary Book at the City Library in Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA:

Dora Ellen Hildreth, daughter of John and Eliza Feight, was born Nov. 6, 1892, in Marion County near Lacona. She died May 5, 1983, at the Westview Care Center in Indianola where she had been a resident for the past 10 months.

On June 1, 1915, Mrs. Hildreth was united in marriage to Luther Hildreth in Indianola. To this union were born two daughters, Violet and Norma, and two sons, John and Leo.

The family resided on a farm south of Indianola. Mrs. Hildreth lived on the same farm for 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Violet, and one son, Leo, who died as a small children; one son, John, who was killed during World War II in 1945; and her husband, Luther, who died in 1965. Also preceding her in death were five brothers and eight sisters.

Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Norma Harmon of Indianola; two grandchildren, John Harmon of Indianola and Mrs. Nancy Dittmer of Lacona; and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral services conducted by the Rev. John W. Long were held Monday, May 9, at the Overton Funeral Home. Interment was in Goode's Chapel Cemetery.
