John A. Endres, 65, of Indianola died of cancer Wednesday, June 16, 1999, at Hospice Kavanagh House in Des Moines. Services were held June 19 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church in Indianola, of which he was a member, with burial at IOOF Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Mr. Endres was born near Rosemount and moved to Indianola in 1957. He was a retired tool and die maker for John Deere Des Moines Works in Ankeny, an Army veteran and a member of Knights of Columbus, American Legion in Indianola and the Iowa and International Edsel clubs.
Survivors include his wife, Amy; two sons, John of Seattle and Mark of Augusta, Ga.; a daughter, Gina Seymour of Indianola; four brothers, Wayne and Robert, both of Des Moines and Edwin of Cumming and Gail Endres of Ankeny; three sisters, Marie Wilson of Creston, Clarice Duff of Des Moines, and Margaret Brown of Liberty, Mo., and six grandchildren.
Memorial contributions may be made to his church or Hospice of Central Iowa.
