Rex Boucher, 76, of Ankeny died of complications of Alzheimer's disease Monday , March 9, 1998, at Altoona Manor Care Center. Services were held March, 13 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial at Indianola City Cemetery.
Mr. Boucher was born in Pleasantville and had lived in Ankeny since 1968. He had previously lived in the Indianola area for many years. Before his retirement in 1983, he was a welder with John Deere Des Moines Works in Ankeny for 35 years. He was an Air Corps veteran of World War ll and a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church in Ankeny and UAW in Des Moines.
Survivors include his wife, Freda; a son, Kent of Maple Valley, Wash.; two daughters, Sheryl Hanson of Elkhart and Donna Paulson of Ankeny; a sister, Ruby Cole of Thayer, Mo.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Rex Boucher, 76, of 618 S.E. Lawrence Drive, Ankeny, died of complications of Alzheimer's disease Monday at Altoona Manor Care Center. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will be at Indianola City Cemetery.
Mr. Boucher was born in Pleasantville and had lived in Ankeny since 1968. He had previously lived in the Indianola area for many years.
