Obituary from an unknown newspaper, date unknown, photographed from an Obituary Book at the City Library in Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA:

Services for Lewis C. Botkin, 64, of 2825 S.E. Fourteenth St., will be at 3 p.m. Saturday at Dunn's Funeral Home on S.W. Ninth Street, with burial in Belmont Cemetery at Milo.

Mr. Botkin died of cancer Wednesday at the home of a niece, Ms. Adrianna Masters, of 2602 Logan Ave., after a long illness.

A retired mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service, Mr. Botkin was born at Sandyville in Warren County and lived in Milo before moving to Des Moines 40 years ago. He was a member of Highland Park American Legion Post and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

Surviving are four brothers, Keith of Des Moines, Charles W. of Napa, Calif., Robert of Santa Maria, Calif., and Jack of Beaverton, Ore., and three sisters, Mrs. Frances Dickerson, Mrs. Margaret Wishman and Mrs. Katherine Sanders, all of Des Moines.
