Services for Doyle C. Borts, 91, who died Friday, April 24, 2009, at Iowa Methodist Hospital in Des Moines, IA, will be held 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, April 29, at the First United Methodist Church in Indianola. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Doyle was born in Valeria, IA, and served in the United States Army. He farmed and raised turkeys for 20 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church and owner of Borts Oil for 25 years. Doyle was a very loving person who will be missed.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Lou, of Indianola; sons, Don and Wyman (Sis), of Indianola, and Vernon (Christina), of Des Moines; eight grandchildren; and nine great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be held 4 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, April 28, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to The Good Shepherd Fund at The Village. Online condolences may be made at www.overtonfunerals.com
