Services for William Leonard Putz, 57, Lacona, were held at St. Marys Catholic Church in Lacona Sept. 18 with burial in the Rosemount Cemetery.

Mr Putz died Sept. 15 at Mercy Hospital, Des Moines. He had farmed in the Lacona community most of his life.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine; seven children, Mrs Judith A. Terrell of Knoxville, Mrs Marjorie C. Williams of Lucas, Mrs Barbara L. Hanna, Gerald F., Edward J., Robert C. and Anthony R., all of Lacona and 13 grandchildren.

Also surviving are five brothers, Victor L., Louis and Fred of Lacona, Walter of New Virginia and Firman of Milo; three sisters, Mrs Bertha Schurman of Lacona, Mrs Dorothy Greubel of Des Moines, and Mrs Hilda Metz of Newton.
