Obituary from an unknown newspaper, date unknown, photographed from an Obituary Book at the City Library in Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA:

Funeral services for George Morrison Boothe, 86, of 405 North G St., will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the First United Methodist Church. Interment will be at the Indianola IOOF Cemetery. A Masonic service was held Wednesday night at the Peterson Funeral Home.

Mr. Boothe died Tuesday morning at the Indianola Good Samaritan Center, where he had resided for the past week.

He had lived in Indianola all of his life. He was a retired farmer and had worked as a diesel engineer at the city light plant for many years.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Warren Lodge No. 53 AF-AM, a veteran of World War I and was a member of the American Legion World War I Barracks and the Des Moines Consistory.

He is survived by his wife, Iolas; four daughters, Ernestine Smith of Prole, Virginia Foust of rural Indianola, Sara Ripperger of Indianola, and Nancy Lehmkuhl of Ankeny; two sons, Arliss of rural Indianola, and George of Des Moines; 23 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Arlene Novak of Lead Hill, Ark.
