Vera Lucile Spear, 87, of Indianola died of a heart ailment Saturday at Indianola Good Samaritan Center, where she had lived for 2 1/2 years. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, with burial at Plainview Cemetery near Milo.

Mrs. Spear was born in Des Moines and had lived in the Lacona area before moving to the care center. She was a homemaker and a member of Green Plain Church near Milo and the Liberty Center American Legion Auxilitary.

Survivors include her husband, Frank; two sons, Gilbert of Milo and Dwight of Lacona; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 3 to 5 p.m.
