Robert Eugene Nelson, 66, died Friday, January 13, 2006. Funeral services were Jan. 17 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial followed in the Sandyville Cemetery.

Mr. Nelson was born and lived all his life in Summerset. He served in the United States Army from 1956-1959 and worked for Champion Glove Company in Des Moines for 30 years, retiring in 1991.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy; and brother, Don.

Surviving are his brothers, Ray of Summerset, Bill of rural Carlisle, Dick of Van Meter and Frank of Prairie City; sister, Linda Nelson of Hot Springs, South Dakota; companion, Shirley Bentley of Summerset; step-son, Stan Wright of Corwith; and step-daughters, Betty Tindall of Corwith and Lynn Wilson of Des Moines.

Funeral services for Robert E. Nelson, 66, who died Friday, January 13, 2006, will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 17 at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial will follow in the Sandyville Cemetery.
