Obituary from The Record-Herald and Indianola Tribune newspaper, Indianola, Warren County, Iowa, USA on 11-19-1986:

Funeral services for Joseph Paul Mosher, 66, of rural Liberty Center are pending at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Interment will be in the Indianola IOOF Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Mosher died of cancer Tuesday, Nov. 18, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines.

Born in North Dakota, his family moved to Warren County when he was an infant. He attended Warren County rural public school and Liberty Center High School. A farmer, he had farmed south of Liberty Center for 45 years.

Surviving are his wife, Maxine; a brother, Robert of Indianola; a sister, Edna Oldaker of rural Liberty Center; six nieces; and one nephew.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Liberty Center United Methodist Church.

Joseph Paul Mosher, son of Olin J. and Grace Baysinger Mosher, was born Sept. 15, 1920, at Thompson, N. D., and died Nov. 18, at Mercy Hospital Medical Center of cancer at the age of 66.

He moved to Warren County with his family when he was an infant. Joe attended Warren County rural schools and Liberty Center High School.

On Feb. 15, 1942, he married Maxine Smith. They lived on the same farm south of Liberty Center for almost 45 years.

He was preceded in death by his father, Olin J. who died January 19, 1974, and his mother Grace, who died May 30, 1979.

He is survived by his wife, Maxine; a sister, Edna Oldaker of rural Liberty Center; one brother, Robert and his wife Margo, and one brother-in-law, Donald Smith and his wife Ernestine, all of Indianola. Nieces and nephews, Ted and Kim Mosher; Steve and Raynell Lee, Travis and Treva; Stacy and Kelly Putney, Cody and Kir; Ray and Kay Chittenden, Kent and Rhonda; John and Anita Elliott and Courtney; Casey and Cheryl Kazebeer, Michelle and Dawn; Roger and Priscilla Higens, Molly and Scott and Jeff and Julie Eyberg, Jennifer and Jessica.
