Obituary from The Des Moines Register newspaper, Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA on 10-8-2012:
Ardyce Louise Newell, age 77, of Indianola, passed away October 5, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. Born in Osceola, she had lived in Indianola since 1963. Ardyce worked for and retired from The Good Samaritan Center after 20 plus years of service. She had served in the U.S. Navy, and was a member of the Indianola First Baptist Church.

Preceding in death were her parents; husband, Fred Newell; daughter, Peggy and a brother. Surviving are her daughters, Kathy Sterba and Linda (Jeff) Arrandale; sons, Robert (Lynn) Newell and Dan Newell; four grandchildren; four great-granddaughters; her brother, Richard Thomas; and her sister, Delma.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at the Indianola I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Online condolences may be made to www.petersonfunerals.com
