Services for Wendell Quayle Butler, 89, will be Friday, July 13, 2012 at 10 a.m. at the Lacona Christian Church. Family will receive friends on Thursday from 6 until 9 p.m. at the Pierschbacher Funeral Home in Lacona. Interment will be at the Cochran Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Lacona Christian Church or Circle of Life Hospice in Chariton. Online condolences may be left at www.pierschbacherfuneralhome.com .

Wendell passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2012, at the Legacy Lodge Circle of Life Hospice in Chariton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth in 2009; and a great-granddaughter, Riley. He is survived by his children, John (Billie Luse) Butler, Linda Street, Chet (Pat Luse) Butler, Pat (Jim) Stalter, Albert (Cindy Sue Halvorsen) Butler, and Cindy Baker; 18 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are siblings, Anna Louise Rankin, Wyona Shupe, Wanda Johnson, Walter (Ramona) Butler, Howard Butler, and Doyle (Jo) Butler; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
