CHARLES PORTER
Charles Frederick Porter, 88, of Greenland, died July 20, in a local hospital. He was born Jan. 3, 1883 in Madison County, Iowa, the son of Ezekiel and Elizabeth Reither Porter, and a Methodist.
He is survived by the widow, Wilhelmina Porter of the home; two sons, Ernest of Denver, Colo. And Howard of Billings, Mont; one daughter, Juanita Grant of Boston, Mass.; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of Nelson’s Funeral Home with burial in Des Moines, Iowa.

Charles Frederick Porter was interred in the New Virginia Cemetery, New Virginia, Warren County, Iowa.
