“Everett Grant is Found Dead”

“Everett Grant, prominent Squaw township farmer living east of New Virginia, was found dead about 6:30 Wednesday evening at the old Newt Weaver place where he had gone to water cattle. A neighbor, Frank Taylor, noticed Mr. Grant’s car parked and contacted his son in law, Glen Ogle, who with Mr. Taylor investigated and found him on the ground dead.

We understand he has had a heart ailment. Death was thought to have occurred about 4:40. Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock Monday afternoon, January 29, at the Methodist Church.”
