Services for Esther Lolita Rouse Allsup, of Indianola, who died August 28, at the Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, were held August 30, 1996, at the Mosher Funeral Home in Milo. Burial was at the Milo IOOF Cemetery.

The Rev. John Long officiated at the services. Music was provided by Irene Wright. Pallbearers were Mike Rankin, Scott Allsup, Sean Allsup, Chad Allsup, Griffin Allsup, and Dennis Parker. Honorary bearers were Mike Graney and Terry Timmins.

Esther was born September 19, 1921, in Liberty Center, the daughter of Nettie Olive Fetters and James William Rouse. She was preceded in death by her husband.

She is survived by a daughter, Prescilla Rankin of Bussey; four sons, Billy of Newton, Dennis of Phoenix, and Jeff and Gregory, both of Indianola; three sisters, Lois Williams of Indianola, Mary Timmins of Laguna Beach, Calif., and Ida Graney of Des Moines; 11 grandchildren, and four great- grandchildren.

Arrangements were made by Mosher Funeral Home in Milo.
