Services for Clarence C. Epps, 92, of 1626 E. Grand Ave., who died of a liver ailment Friday at Mercy Hospital Medical Center, will be held at noon Monday at McLaren’s Resthaven Chapel in West Des Moines. Burial will be at Jordan Cemetery.
Born in Summerset, Mr. Epps lived in West Des Moines before moving to Des Moines five years ago. He was a retired 50-year employee of the Rock Island Railroad, and a member of the West Des Moines Christian Church, Sons of the Union Veterans of the Civil War, and the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen and Enginemen.
Survivors include a daughter, Martha Howe of Des Moines; a son, Harold of Rockford, Ill.: five grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
