Son of MARTIN VAN BUREN AND NANCY ELIZABETH KELLAR PERKINS, Grandson of BENJAMIN HARRISON AND CATHERINE ANN MILLER KELLAR

GOVIA PERKINS' FUNERAL TODAY

Services for Govia C. Perkins, 61, of 747 Twenty-fifth St., will be at 2 p.m. today at St. Andrew's

Evangelical United Brethren Church. Burial will be in Highland Memory Gardens West. Mr. Perkins died of a cerebral hemorrhage Tuesday at Iowa Methodist Hospital. A resident of Des Moines 43 years, he was born in Prole. He was a foreman for the Des Moines & Central Iowa Railroad. He was a member of Moose Lodge 441 and of St. Andrew's Church. Survivors include his wife, Lillian; a daughter, Tootie of Des Moines; and two brothers, Otis Perkins of Diagonal, and Fred Coffey of Perry.
