Obituary -

(The Des Moines Register Des Moines, Iowa December 6, 1992)

RAY PRICKETT, 73, of Indianola died of pneumonia Friday at Indianola good Samaritan Center. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Burial, with military honors, will be at IOOF Memorial Gardens Cemetery there.

Mr. Prickett was born in Marion County and had lived in Indianola most of his life. He was a retired construction worker, an Army Veteran of World War II and a member of the American Legion and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Survivors include his wife, Wilda; a daughter, Jeanie Stewart of Des Moines; five sons, Leland, Laverne, Rodney and Royce, all of Indianola, and Tom of New Brighton, Minn.; two brothers, Donald of Bussey and Orien Torrence, Calif.; a sister Alice Van Hosen of Des Monies; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 3 to 5 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indianola Men's ... (incomplete).
