James Davitt, aged 72 years, died at his home in Des Moines, Thursday of last week. Funeral services were held at St. John's Catholic church, Saturday morning with interment in the Glendale cemetery.
Mr. Davitt was born and reared in the vicinity of Cumming, but for many years lived east of Churchville, where he and his sons operated a large farm. His health declined after having been struck by a train some years ago. For the last ten years, he has lived in Des Moines.
