Last week’s Indianola Record had this note of the death of a former citizen of Union township, Madison county: Alonzo Wells, a well respected citizen of Indianola and old-time resident of the county, while assisting in house cleaning was stricken while stooping over, probably by apoplexy, and pitched down the stairs. He died the same evening, either from the stroke or injuries received. The funeral occurred from the M. E. church Tuesday, and the deepest sympathy of all is extended the bereaved ones.
