Services for Donna M. Stalter, 73, who died Wednesday, July 8, 2009 , at Mercy Hospital in Des Moines, will be held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, July 11, at the Indianola Regular Baptist Church of which she was a member. Burial will follow in the I.O.O.F. Cemetery.
Donna was born on May 24, 1936, in Madison County, IA to Fred and Hallie Davis and graduated from Osceola High School. Donna was very active in her church. She worked for over 25 years for the Indianola School District and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority. Donna had a deep love for her family; they were the focus of her life.
Survivors include her daughters, Julie (Dennis) Parker and Pam (Steve) Lukenbill both of Indianola; grandchildren, Denny (Angie) Parker, Phil (Rachel) Parker, Jesse (Calie) Lukenbill, Whitney (Melvin) Rivas, Lance Parker and Olivia Lukenbill; great grandchildren, Isabella, Elliet, William and Samuel Parker and Kristen and Joaquin Rivas; siblings, Joyce (Bill)Carr of Missoula, MT, Sharon (Chet) Reed of Van Wert, IA, and Connie (Darrell) Olmstead of Upper Sandusky, OH; sister-in-law, Mary Davis of Osceola, IA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ray Stalter and brother, Raymond "Bud" Davis.
Visitation will be held 3 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 10, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola where family will be present to greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Indianola Regular Baptist Church. Online condolences may be made at www.overtonfunerals.com
