Henry Spray, son of John and Elizabeth Spray, was born in Ohio September 2, 1831, and departed this life at his home, in Indianola, September 2, 1923, on the day he was 92 years of age.

He came to Indianola in the fall of 1854, and has resided here ever since. On the sixth of January, 1859, he was united in marriage with Elizabeth Latta, who preceded him in death, having passed away on January 16, 1889.

The family of six children are all living. They are: Mrs. Ollie Patrick, Des Moines; Mrs. Lama [sic] Johnson, Madison, Nebr.; F. M. Spray, Indianola; W. B. Spray, Indianola and Clarence Spray, Des Moines.

He is survived by one sister, Mrs. S. A. Hampson, Indianola; ten grandchildre and eight great-grandchildren.

His daughter, Mrs. Patrick, and son, W. B. Spray, are both confined to their beds and not able to be present at the funeral.

The funeral was held from the home of his son, F. M. Spray, Tuesday at 3:30 p. m., conducted by Dr. Willis.
