ROBERT DOUGHERTY, INDIANOLA, IOWA

Graveside services for Robert Dougherty, 92, who died Friday, April 24, 2009, at Mercy Hospice in Johnston, Iowa, were held at 2:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 29) at the Booneville Cemetery in Booneville, Iowa.

Robert was born in Dallas County, Iowa. He was a farmer and enjoyed flea marketing.

He is survived by his wife, Dorothy, of Indianola; his children — Nancy (Jerry) Jones, Mary (Royden) Miller, Bobby, Charlie and Tammy (Vernon) Braness, all of Indianola; seven grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; eight step-great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Edna Consolver; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Prior to the graveside services, a visitation was held at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola, where the family greeted friends. Memorials may be given to Mercy Hospice in Johnston in Robert’s name. Online condolences may be sent to www.overtonfunerals.com .
