DIANE M. HERZBERG, Cumming

Diane Marie Herzberg, age 39, passed away Monday, August 4, 2008 near Knoxville. Mass of Resurrection will be 11 a.m. Saturday, August 9, 2008 at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Irish Settlement, Cumming IA. The Reverend Michael McLaughlin will officiate. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. A prayer service will be 5:30 p.m. Friday and continuing with visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. at Caldwell Raddatz Funeral Chapel, 8201 Hickman Road, Urbandale.

She was born November 11, 1968 in Des Moines to Agnes (Kelleher) and Raymond McLaughlin. She attended school at Martinsdale-St. Mary's and Northwest Missouri State, and graduated from Washington University Medical School in St. Louis, MO with a degree in occupational therapy.

Diane married Arlan Herzberg on May 13, 2000. She was active on the Parish Council and Altar & Rosary Society at St. Patrick's. She was also a member of Iowa Occupational Therapists Association.

Survivors include her husband, Arlan; parents, Ray and Agnes of Cumming; brothers, Rev. Michael R. McLaughlin of Greenfield, IA; Rick R. (Mary) of Grimes; Brian (Debbie) of Farmington, MN; Marty (Lisa) of Marion, IA; Neal (Char) of West Des Moines, IA; and sister, Maureen McLaughlin (Brian Smith) of Des Moines. She also leaves 14 nieces and nephews, and many aunts and uncles. She will also be dearly missed by her dog "Sweetie" and all who knew her.
