EVA BELL HIGENS

Eva Bell Brubaker, Higens, daughter of Daniel and Sarah Brubaker, was born Sept. 27, 1881 at Spring Hill, Ia. She died Aug. 4, 1964, at Indianola at the age of 82 years.

In March, 1902, she was united in marriage to Sherman Higens. To this union three children were born, Inez, Margaret and Harlan.

She was preceded in death by her husband who died Aug. 13, 1956, her infant son, Harlan, her parents, three brothers, two sisters and one granddaughter.

Mrs. Higens is survived by her two daughters, Mrs Inez Shannon, and Mrs. Margaret Shannon, a son-in-law, Gaylord Shannon, two grandchildren, Randall Shannon of Logan, Ioa. and Marzette Beery of Indianola and five great grandchildren, John, James and Dianne Shannon and Allen and Dennis Beery.

Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. Harold D. Butts Aug. 6, 1964, at the Overton Funeral Home. Interment was in the Webb Cemetery.
