Died, April 5, at his sons' residence in Greenbush, Frederick Porter Perley, aged 84 years, 5 months, 18 days. He was a soldier in the war of 1812, spent prime of his life as a sailor, from East Port to the West Indies. He was a devoted father and kind husband. He leaves a wife near his own age, four sons and a daughter to mourn his loss. The funeral took place April 7, from his son's house, Rev. Harned conducting the solemn service.
