Edith Bell Shetterly, Winterset

Services for Edith Bell Shetterly, 90, Winterset who died Oct 6 at the Madison County Hospital were held on Monday, Oct 10 at the First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Byron Ayers officating. A graveside service was held at the Hartford Cemetery.

Born at Hartford Dec 21, 1892, she was the daughter of Henry and Luvena Myrick Cain. A resident of the Care Center North, she had lived in Madison County since 1942 and was a member of the Methodist Church, the WSCS, Kitchen Band and Hillbilly Band. She married Harry Ralph Shetterly Aug. 16, 1911 at Des Moines.

Survivors include a son Charles (Ed) Shetterly of Littleton, Co., daughters Oda Bess Kramme of Woodland Hills, Ca., and Opal Wiggins of Winterset, 16 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband two sons and a brother.
