Harold Johnson Jr., 47, of Las Vegas, Nev., and formerly of Indianola, died Tuesday, March 28, 2006 at Henderson Healthcare Center in Henderson, Nev. Visitation with family present will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 7, at Overton Funeral Home in Indianola. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, April 8, at the funeral home.

Mr. Johnson was born Aug., 29, 1958 in Des Moines, the son of Harold and Ruby Johnson. He grew up in Indianola, graduated in 1997 from Indianola High School. He worked at Dell Oil Co. and then for Sternquist Construction.

He married Brenda Bloodgood and later divorced.

In 1984, he moved to Carrollton, Texas where he worked building interstates and freeways. In August 1985, he had a motorcycle accident and remained in a Dallas, Texas hospital in a coma until he was flown back to Des Moines. He lived at the Madrid Home before moving with his parents to Las Vegas.

He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting and the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Carl.

Survivors include his daughter Christina Bechtel; parents, Harold and Ruby Johnson; and sisters, Sandra Leslie and Susan Bohall.
